On September 26th 2001, Fluorogas Ltd., a UK based company
with expertise in the development and operation of low pressure
on-site Fluorine (F2) generators, was acquired by The BOC Group.
Employing nearly 43,000 people in 60 countries, The BOC Group had annual
sales of over $6 billion dollars in 2001.
BOC is committed to continuing to develop the On-Site Fluorine
Generator business started by Fluorogas in 1997. With this acquisition,
The BOC Group is the only supplier currently able to provide customers with
the technical know-how to implement a proven On-Site Fluorine Supply Strategy.
In the short term, we will use our technical know-how to concentrate on
meeting the Fluorine requirements of the global electronics industry. Our
long-term plans may incorporate expansion into additional markets.
